H.B. 2668 passed -- establishing a model of progressive sanctions for drug offenders convicted of certain state jail felony offenses involving possession of small amounts of certain controlled substances and requiring treatment for those offenders.  To find out more: HB 2668
 
H.B. 1713 passed -- establishes procedures for a probationer to challenge a condition of probation using a writ of habeas corpus.  To find out more: HB 1713
 
S.B. 1948 passed -- providing for the release from prison of the Tulia defendants, and allowing release on bond for certain habeas applicants when the state agrees.  To find out more: HB1948
 
H.B. 1670 passed -- authorizing certain inmates to be released from prison on medically recommended intensive supervision. To find out more: HB1670
 
S.B. 917 passed -- establishing a specific future date for the review of an inmate for parole purposes, allowing a violent offender to receive a set off of one to five years  and requiring a nonviolent offender to be reviewed annually.  To find out more: SB 917
 
H.B. 1849 passed -- authorizing the parole division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to notify certain parole violators of their parole revocation hearing by issuing a summons instead of a warrant.  To find out more: HB1849
